We tried this place for people with celiac disease and had a great experience. The service was very good—almost excellent—with the waitress explaining the entire menu in detail and giving us very clear guidance on how the dishes were prepared, especially for those with celiac disease. Among the dishes, you can taste both traditional specialties from Split and other types of dishes, all of which are very well prepared. We spent about €30 per person, having either a first or a main course, a side dish, and then a coffee or a digestif.

A lovely last minute find with gorgeous food and a very homely atmosphere! Thrilled to have stumbled upon this restaurant! The meatballs were to die for and the pork medallions were sensational! To top it off it was hands down the best bruschetta I’ve had in years! Everything beautifully presented!

A Culinary Gem in the Heart of Split – A Must-Visit! Dining at this hidden treasure in Split was nothing short of magical. Nestled beside the ancient remnants of Diocletian’s Palace walls, the ambiance alone is worth the visit—romantic, historic, and utterly enchanting. But the real star here is the food… and wine. And it was inexpensive ! We were warmly welcomed and served by the owner, Rocco, whose passion for Dalmatian cuisine shines through in every dish. He has masterfully elevated traditional recipes, blending authenticity with innovation. Each plate was a celebration of local flavors—fresh seafood, aromatic herbs, and perfectly balanced textures. The wine selection was equally impressive, showcasing some of the best Croatian vintages we've ever tasted. Rocco’s recommendations paired beautifully with our meal, enhancing every bite. This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. From the first sip of wine to the last bite of food, everything was flawless. Without a doubt, the best place to eat in Split. We’ll be dreaming of this meal for a long time.

I absolutely love this restaurant. I visited on my first night in Split as a solo traveller and had to go back again the following night. The restaurant itself has a beautiful charm being surrounded by and even including the palace walls in the interior and location, despite being in the centre of old town, felt like a hidden gem providing a bit more peace from the main streets. The two ladies who served me were very kind, and very funny, keeping myself and the other guests entertained. They were thoughtful, providing great recommendations for dishes, and I saw them pointing out to guests when they may have ordered too much food to avoid any wastage of both food and the diner’s money. My first night I had the pasticada on gnocchi, followed by the carob cake for dessert. My second night had the bruschetta starter followed by the black cuttlefish risotto. Definitely one of the cheaper places in town to find these local croatian dishes with roughly 20 euro per main course, and i’m so glad to have visited. I wish I could have stayed in Split longer, with this restaurant being one of the reasons!

Very nice Konoba (traditional Croatian restaurant) in the heart old Split. I was lucky as they only had places left in the back alley of the restaurant, which was very quiet and perfect to enjoy a light dinner in a peaceful atmosphere with some Game of Thrones scenery. The service was very kind and accommodating. I tried the shrimp hummus, which had a very nice twist to the traditional Middle Eastern dish. For main I tried the gnocchi with shrimp in a warming red sauce. I’d recommend a try to anyone wanting to try Croatian dishes.
